Message of Appreciation

We have just celebrated the International Women’s Day. It is appropriate to express our heart-felt appreciation of all women, and use this word without the chains and constraints of gender stereotypes and discrimination.

It is said: "paradise lies at the feet of our mothers." This extends to all women. It is also not a surprise that most of participants, Tuopu team and LSSE we have encountered are women. The first participant to enrol on NPQ in China was a woman; the latest participnts are also women, all in leadership. This is a great cause for celebration; we have a bright future.

Our training event on March 16th, 2024 is the first ever such event in China. Through this event at Britannica International and our visit in Shanghai, our combined efforts and get-together will add value to the NPQ programme, especially in sharing experiences and networking.

This would not have been possible without the hard work and good will of everyone. We cannot name all, but need to acknowledge Dr. Julie Stones of LLSE, both for her commitment to education and training, and indeed for her vision of LLSE-Tuopu partnership. Together, we also need to express and accept appreciation for the commitment to professional development, and what we know to be its driver: better education through better teaching and better schools. This is also the opportunity to say thank you to our dedicated facilitators who, like our participants, are equally committed to the success of the programme.

We would not be holding this event at Britannica without the support of Mr. Paul Farrell. At Britannica, Mr. Farrell has developed a culture of professional development which empowers teachers and supports training organisations in their contribution to improving school leadership. A very experienced international education practitioner in his own right, and school leader with evidence of impact, Mr Farrell has not only provided us with the use of his school facilities, but he has also made time to join the NPQ event, on this Saturday morning, as our Honoured Keynote Speaker. He will be presenting on the topic: 'NPQ Leaders: Addressing the Challenges in the Change Implementation Process - A Key to Success'.

We are indeed grateful to be holding this event of NPQ pioneers in China. Never has an entity owed so much to so many people; never have the words ‘Thank you’ been all embracing.

We wish you every success for the event and your NPQ transformative journey.

Best regards,Tuopu Team.
